Severe Weather Policy

Up to the minute school closing information from Forest Hills Public Schools is shown on our homepage above the green navigation bar.

If the Forest Hills Public Schools district is closed due to severe weather, the Forest Hills Public Schools Community, Aquatic, and Senior Center also will be closed. All Community Services classes and activities will be cancelled on any day that school is closed due to weather conditions.

If Forest Hills Public Schools experiences a two-hour delay in the morning, all classes and activities for adults, that begin before 9:45 a.m., will be cancelled. All classes that begin at 9:45 a.m. and after will run as scheduled on that day.

If the Forest Hills Public School District is in session and severe weather conditions develop during the school day, a decision to cancel evening classes and activities will be made by approximately 2:00 p.m. Check local media and their websites (below), and the district Web site at www.fhps.net.
Unexpected mechanical failure or illness of the instructor also will result in a cancellation of class. Attempts will be made to reschedule any canceled classes.
