for senior adults throughout the year:
Healthy Living Lecture Series 2016

FREE, No Reservations Required
You're invited to join us for an informative and enjoyable
afternoon at the Forest Hills Fine Center. Bring your family and friends
to listen to healthy living lectures on medical topics of interest to adults
and seniors. Also, while at the Center, please view the exhibits, participate
in health screenings, register for prize drawings, and
enjoy complimentary healthy refreshments.
Keynote Speaker: Tom Rademacher
"Second Acts for
a Greater Grand Rapids," 1 p.m.
has switched gears from newspaperman to storyteller for the Grand Rapids
Community Foundation’s Encore movement. Encore helps inspire people how
to re-invent themselves during their second half of life.
Mercy Health Lectures
Professionals from Mercy Health will present two
30-minute presentations with 15 minutes for questions and answers.
"Love Your Diet, Love Your Heart," 2 p.m.
Presented by Vinayak Manohar, MD
Dr. Manohar is a cardiologist with the Heart & Wellness Institute and the Mercy Health Heart & Vascular Team. He will discuss the impact of food and dietary supplementation on cardiovascular risk factors and overall cardiac health.
"Mindfulness and Parkinson's Disease," 3
Presented by Barbara Pickut, MD, MPH
Dr. Pickut is a neurologist and medical director at Mercy Health Hauenstein Neuroscience Center. She will discuss the role of mindfulness and mind-body intervention for those with Parkinson’s Disease.
