Senior Special Events

Through rewarding partnerships with local schools and organizations, Community Services sponsors a number of special events for senior adults throughout the year:

  • In May, we host our Healthy Living Lecture Series with an afternoon of interesting health lectures, health screenings, and complimentary refreshments at the Fine Arts Center. It's an informative, fun event for all seniors and their families!
  • Each summer, area residents are treated to a special picnic hosted by Cascade Township officials and firefighters.
  • Each fall, area residents enjoy a live musical performance (usually a vocalist with musicians) at the Fine Arts Center.
  • And every December we welcome the holiday season with a festive luncheon.

A Popular Dance for Girls and Their Adult Guests

For Girls in Kindergarten through Grade 6

Aimez-vous danser? Vous êtes invités à Une Soirée à Paris! (Do you like to dance? You are invited to An Evening in Paris!) Girls in grades K-6, along with their adult guests, will enjoy the night’s “An Evening in Paris” theme, a light dessert, dancing, and social time with their friends. DJ Scott Ptak will spin the music and get the fun going! A photographer will be available for those cherished moments at an additional cost, or bring your cameras or phones to capture the memory. Space is limited; please sign up early. No “evening of” registrations will be granted at the door!
